Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2023 Chevrolet Camaro is available in eight trims: 1LS, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, LT1, 1SS, 2SS, and ZL1. You can also choose between a soft-top convertible or a hard-shell coupe body style with most trims, although the base trim is only available in a coupe. Its high beltline and low roof highlight the vehicle's classic sports car styling. It comes standard with 18-inch wheels, but upper trims include 20-inch wheels with high-performance tires.
Engine (Power)
All four engine options for the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro will give you plenty of power. The base 2-liter turbocharged inline-four produces 275 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, while the 3.6-liter V-6 gets 335 horsepower and 284 pound-feet of torque. The upper trims have two 6.2-liter V-8 engine options, with one getting 455 horsepower and 455 pound-feet of torque, while the supercharged engine cranks out 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.
All engines come standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, but the four-cylinder engine has an optional eight-speed automatic transmission. All engines except the base one have an available 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
One of the main reasons that people purchase a Chevrolet Camaro is for the driving experience. The optional Magnetic Ride Control suspension — which is only found on the V-8 engines — is more capable over a variety of surfaces. While gas mileage varies on the Camaro, expect to get the best numbers with the turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine gets 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
Interior
You'll find an abundance of premium materials and a more modern appearance compared to the Camaro's previous generation. Comfortable front seats and a straightforward layout are the most notable features. Standard features include a power-adjustable driver's seat, single-zone automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. You can also equip the cabin with customizable ambient lighting, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and driver's seat memory settings.
Every 2023 Camaro includes a user-friendly touch-screen display that supports Chevy's Infotainment 3 system. You also gain access to a six-speaker stereo system, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Simply moving up one trim adds satellite radio, and the 3LT trim includes a wireless charging pad. Opting for the Technology package on the 1LT, 2LT, and LT1 trim gives you a larger touch screen and a nine-speaker Bose audio system.
