The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is a capable and reliable full size SUV that seats up to eight passengers with two rows of flexible seating. With the six trim levels available and the option for all-wheel drive, you can find a Tahoe that suits your driving purposes and engine needs.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is available in six trim levels, including the LS, LT, Z71, Premier, and High Country. LS and LT trim levels come with 18-inch wheels and all-season tires, the RST comes with 22-inch high gloss Black painted aluminum wheels with wheel locks, the Z71 comes with 20-inch wheels and all-terrain tires, the Premier comes with 20-inch all-season tires, and the High Country has 22-inch wheels and all-season tires with wheel locks. The RST and Z71 trims come with monochromatic grilles with Black Ice accents, while the High Country features the signature High Country trim grill with plates.
Engine (Power)
There are two standard engine types for the Tahoe, with one additional engine option for higher-level trims. LS, LT, Z71, RST, and Premier trim levels come standard with a 5.3-liter V-8 engine which provides 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. A 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel engine is an option for those same trim levels while it comes standard on the High Country, providing 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Higher-level trims, such as the Z71, RST, Premier, and High Country, can access the option for a 6.2-liter V-8 engine that offers 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
With the Tahoe, you can drive through slippery surfaces and uneven terrain with ease and highly responsive controls. The 10-speed automatic transmission provides overdrive controls and a Traction Select System that optimizes the drive and power performance of the car for various road conditions. The standard four-wheel antilock disc brakes paired with the available all-wheel-drive option allow you to maintain traction and reduce wheel lockup to have proper control of the car. StabiliTrak technology also provides enhances stability and traction control by managing engine torque and sensing the driver's intended maneuvers to apply brake pressure or reduce engine power.
Interior
As a full-size SUV, the Tahoe provides a spacious environment with ample head and legroom that prioritizes passenger comfort. The interior's technology integration with phone charging ports and infotainment system offers convenience that keeps your devices charged and allows you to connect to the car's speakers. You can connect your smartphone device through a wired connection or Bluetooth to stream music or podcasts, along with accessing your phone's GPS features to help you navigate as you drive. The infotainment system also offers Advanced Trailering System views which allow you to monitor trailer tire pressure, temperatures, and other data.

The Tahoe comes with a new set of standard safety features, including automatic high beam assist, automatic emergency braking, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, front pedestrian braking, and lane-keep assist with lane departure warning. These features assess road and environmental conditions to identify and avoid potential hazards, along with proving you with alerts to keep you aware of your surroundings as you drive. You can also add on features, such as adaptive cruise control, HD surround vision, rear vision camera, rear camera mirror, rear park assist, or rear cross-traffic alert.
