Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Chevrolet Suburban comes in six trim levels, including the LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. Chevrolet introduces three new standard color options for the 2022 Suburban which are Auburn Metallic, Evergreen Gray Metallic, and Dark Ash Metallic. All trims have access to the extra-cost Cherry Red Tintcoat paint, while trims above the base LS also have access to Iridescent Pearl Tricoat. These paint options require more coats and pigments to achieve their premium finish. The High Country features a unique grille with sill plates, 22-inch wheels, all-season tires, and wheel locks.
Engine (Power)
All trims of the Suburban feature a 10-speed automatic transmission with three different engines for variable power. The LS, LT, RST, and Z71 trims come standard with a 5.3-liter EcoTect3 V-8 engine, providing 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. The High Country comes standard with a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8 engine, providing 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available as an option for the RST, Z71, and Premier. Another available engine option for the LS, LT, RST, Premier, and High Country trims is the Duramax 3.0-liter turbo-diesel engine, providing 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The Suburban's 10-speed automatic transmission gives you smooth and responsive shifts for highly controlled maneuverability for driving in various environments. It has an automatic engine stop-and-start feature for fuel efficiency and long-distance drive optimization. The turbo-diesel engine, available on most trim levels, features sound absorption materials that minimize noises from the engine and the road. Other available performance features include magnetic ride control and adaptive suspension to enhance the aerodynamics of your car by adjusting the suspension to suit the road conditions.
Interior
As a full-size SUV, the interior space of the car offers ample head and legroom for comfortable long-distance road trips. The Silverado offers Jet Black as the base color for interior upholstery and accessories, with Very Dark Atmosphere, Victory Red, Maple Sugar, and Mocha as options for the other trims, respectively. The Suburban comes with new standard safety features for the 2022 Chevrolet lineup, like the Chevy Safety Assist suite.
